Dr. Imam Uddin holds a PhD in Islamic Business & Finance form University of Karachi with emphasis on rules and regulations of Islamic Banking & Finance in Pakistani context. Additionally, he furthered his knowledge in Islamic Banking & Finance by attending numerous courses: Specialization in Islamic Jurisprudence; LLB, and PGD in Islamic Banking & Finance. His areas of expertise include Islamic Banking & Finance, Islamic Jurisprudence, International Law & Humanities. He has got more than ten years of experience in Teaching, research, product development, product management and Sharia’ compliance. He has authored various articles on Islamic Economics and Finance. Currently he is serving as Associate Professor Department of Accounting & Finance Institute of Business Management, (IoBM) Karachi. Previously, he worked with DHA Suffa University, Mohammad Ali Jinnah University, University of Balochistan Quetta & Center for Islamic Economics (CIE). He tries to contribute towards development of intellectually sound human capital for the Islamic Banking industry by delivering lectures, conducting workshops and organizing seminars.

Khawaja Masood Raza

Khawaja Masood Raza holds a Masters in Islamic Banking & Finance and MPhil in Islamic Banking & Finance from University of Karachi. He is currently pursuing PhD in Islamic Banking & Finance from University of Karachi.

Throughout his 28+ years’ career, his reputation has been established as a transformational leader who is driven by challenge, undeterred by obstacles, and committed to furthering standards of excellence. He worked with start-ups and multi-billion rupees organization locally and internationally. He has demonstrated ability to streamline business operations that drive growth and increase efficiency. He has developed and implemented financial controls and processes, in addition to productivity improvements, materials management and change management.

While associated with the industry, he has been teaching courses in Accounting, Finance, Islamic Banking, Islamic Finance, and Taxation for over twenty years at various universities and institutes as a visiting faculty. His area of expertise include Accounting & Financial Management, Business Planning & Analysis, Business Process Reengineering and Islamic Banking & Finance. His research interests are Accounting, Finance and Islamic Banking & Finance.

Muhammad Zeeshan Farrukh

Muhammad Zeeshan Farrukh has more than 14 years of research, study, practice and teaching experience of Islamic Economics, Banking & Finance. He has a vast Islamic banking experience of product development, management, marketing, Shariah compliance and training etc. in Bank Islami Pakistan Limited, United Bank Limited, Al Baraka Bank Pakistan Limited and National Bank of Pakistan. Currently, he is working as a Team Leader-Training & Development Unit in Shariah Compliance Department of National Bank of Pakistan.

He has obtained qualification of B.Com from University of Karachi, MBA from PAF-KIET and Chartered Islamic Finance Professional (CIFP) from INCEIF, Malaysia. Beside these, he has also done courses in Islamic Law and Islamic Jurisprudence. He holds the membership of Chartered Institute of

Currently, he is pursuing Uloom ul Quran Course from Jamia-tur-Rasheed, Karachi, Diraasat e Deeniya Course from Jamia Islamia Imdadia, Faisalabad and Dars-e- Nizami from Jamia Hidaya, Karachi.

The fields of interest and work are Islamic studies Islamic, economics, banking and finance. He has written various articles/papers, in the fields of interest, which have been published and presented in various periodicals and conferences at local and international forums.
